- Route 401 is on the RTC's official route list, updated August 23, 2026 [5]. ⚠️ Unverified / check before you go: we do not publish the frequency or timetable of route 401. Check the rideRTC app, the Transit app or rtcsnv.com before you go.
- Fare: with the 2-hour pass (US$ 6) or the 24-hour pass (US$ 8) you can change buses without paying again, because the passes are valid on all routes [2]. See section 3.

2.4 Outlet shuttle
- No shuttle is officially listed. The outlets' pages mention none [22][23], and neither does the RTC [5]. Only use a service that the outlet itself recommends.
3. RTC buses: passes and fares
- Visitor fare: visitors pay the "Strip and All Access" fare [2]:
- single ride: US$ 4;
- 2-hour pass: US$ 6;
- 24-hour pass: US$ 8;
- 3-day pass: US$ 20.
- The passes are valid on the Deuce and on all other routes, including route 401 [2].
- Children aged 5 and under ride free when accompanied by a responsible person [2].
- How to pay [2]:
- single ride: tap a Visa or Mastercard card (or a phone or watch with a mobile wallet) on the bus reader;
- passes: in the rideRTC, Transit or Uber apps, or on board the Deuce, with exact change.
- Machines at Deuce stops: they sell 2-hour, 24-hour and 3-day passes, but accept cash only [3].
- Holidays:
- Formula 1: during November 17–25, 2026, the Deuce will run a modified schedule and route because of the race [3].
4. Sales tax (Nevada)
- There is no VAT. The tax is a sales tax, added to the shelf price at the register [6].
- Rate: in Clark County, where Las Vegas and both outlets are, it is 8.375% since January 1, 2020 [6][7]. The Nevada Department of Taxation's 2026 return form still uses this rate [8].
- Breakdown: the basic state rate is 6.85%, and local governments add their share [6].
- Clothing: Nevada's official page lists food for home consumption and prescription medicine as generally exempt. It does not mention any clothing exemption, so do not count on the New York rule [6].
- Tourist refund: on Nevada's official pages we found no sales tax refund program for visitors. The state's refund page only covers filers who overpaid tax [9]. ⚠️ Unverified / check before you go: Nevada does not say this in so many words. Assume that the tax paid at the register is not refunded.
5. News and updates
- November 26 to December 31, 2026: special Thanksgiving, Black Friday and year-end hours at both outlets (section 2.3) [20][21].
- August 23, 2026: the current RTC schedules used in this guide took effect [5].
- November 17–25, 2026: the Deuce runs a modified schedule and route because of Formula 1 [3].
6. Bringing it home (Brazilian customs allowance, Receita Federal)
Duty-free allowance: arriving in Brazil by air or sea, each traveler has an allowance of US$ 1,000 in goods, granted once every 30 days. The allowance is individual and non-transferable: you cannot add up family members' allowances. Duty-free purchases when leaving Brazil or abroad may count toward this allowance [10]. Duty-free on arrival: there is an additional allowance of US$ 1,000 for purchases at the duty-free shop of the first airport of arrival in Brazil [10]. Over the allowance? The excess pays 50% import tax. Declare it on the e-DBV and use the "Bens a Declarar" (goods to declare) channel. Anyone who goes through "Nada a Declarar" (nothing to declare) with goods that should have been declared is fined 50% of the excess value [11]. Quantity limits: for goods over US$ 10, the limit is "up to 20 units, at most 03 identical"; for goods under US$ 10, "up to 20 units, at most 10 identical" [10]. For information only; this does not replace the Receita Federal Traveler's Guide. Check the current rules before you travel.
7. How to pay: IOF and exchange rate
- 3.5% IOF on purchases abroad with an international credit, debit or prepaid card. The rule is art. 15-B, item VII, of Decree 6.306/2007, as worded by Decree 12.499/2025 [12][13].
- Legal status: in the consolidated text, this item carries the notes "Vide Decreto Legislativo nº 176, de 2025" and "Vide ADC nº 96" [13]. Brazil's Supreme Court (STF) reinstated Decree 12.499 in a preliminary ruling on July 16, 2025 [14]. ⚠️ Unverified / check before you go: the rates may change by decree or by an STF ruling. Check before you travel.
- Exchange rate on the card bill: the conversion into reais must use the rate of the purchase date. The bank may only use the rate of the payment date if you expressly agree [15]. For each purchase, the bill must show the amount in foreign currency, the amount in dollars, the conversion rate and the amount in reais [16].
8. Official rewards programs
- Simon+ (Las Vegas North and Las Vegas South): Simon's free loyalty program, which replaced the VIP Shopper Club [17]. We do not publish coupons or member discounts.
- If you live outside the US: according to Simon's help center, residents of some countries can sign up as a Limited Access Member, with exclusive offers but no points and no cashback. Simon does not publish the list of countries [18][19]. ⚠️ Unverified / check before you go: there is no confirmation that residents of Brazil can sign up. Try signing up before you travel.
