2.4 Holidays and special dates
Sunday, November 1, 2026 (All Saints' Day): the three The Style Outlets announced that they open on this holiday [12][16][21]. Las Rozas Village shows Sunday 10:00 to 21:00 in its weekly schedule [3].
Christmas and New Year: for Las Rozas Village, the dates below follow the website's current note, which doesn't give the year (as of 30/10/2026) [3].
Date Las Rozas Village [3] Las Rozas TSO [14] Getafe TSO [10] S.S. de los Reyes TSO [18] December 24 10:00–18:00 10:00–18:00 not stated not stated December 25 closed closed closed not stated December 31 10:00–18:00 10:00–18:00 not stated not stated January 1 closed closed closed not stated January 6 (Epiphany) closed closed closed not stated ⚠️ Unverified / check before you go: the Las Rozas Village holiday note doesn't give the year, and the outlet warns that hours may change [3]. Getafe doesn't state December 24 and December 31, and San Sebastián de los Reyes doesn't publish holiday hours [10][18]. None of the four has published special Black Friday hours (27/11/2026). Look at each center's website or call it closer to the date.
2.5 Getting there: bus, train and taxi
Las Rozas Village
- Interurban bus (from Moncloa): in the outlet's words, "Bus lines 625, 628 and 629 all arrive right in front of Las Rozas Village in about 30 minutes", leaving from the Intercambiador de Moncloa (as of 30/10/2026) [2]. The Consorcio de Transportes (CRTM) lists all three lines as leaving from Madrid (Moncloa) [22][23][24].
- On the CRTM pages, no stop carries the Village's name [22][23][24]. That's why we don't name the exact stop: when you board, ask the driver to tell you when you reach the Las Rozas Village stop.
- In the official line 629 timetable, Monday to Friday (September to July), buses leave Moncloa from 6:40 to 23:20, every 15 to 25 minutes; on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 8:45 to 23:45, every 50 minutes [25].
- Fare: see section 3. ⚠️ Unverified / check before you go: the outlet says the buses stop in front of the Village, but the CRTM doesn't give that stop's name. Confirm with the driver.
- Train: according to the outlet, there is a direct train from Madrid-Atocha to Pinar de Las Rozas station, 3 km from the Village, taking about 25 minutes (as of 30/10/2026) [4]. The website does not name the lines or say how to cover the last leg between the station and the Village.
- Taxi from the city center: 30 to 40 minutes, for about €35, according to the outlet's own estimate [2].
- Shopping Express: the outlet's own bus no longer appears on the official site's getting-here page; that page now offers only a private chauffeur service, with booking (as of 30/10/2026) [2]. We don't give times or prices.
- From Barajas airport: the outlet says the Village is less than 30 minutes by car from the airport [4]. By public transport, one option is Cercanías line C1 (Príncipe Pío–Atocha–Chamartín–Aeropuerto T4), which leaves from T4 [29], then at Atocha taking the direct train to Pinar de Las Rozas station [4]. Another is to go to Moncloa (metro, section 3) and take one of the buses above.
The Style Outlets (Getafe, Las Rozas and San Sebastián de los Reyes)
- The website lists no lines; use the transit map. The three centers' websites don't name any bus or train lines, only a Google Maps map (as of 30/10/2026) [9][13][17]. Before you go, use the CRTM journey planner or call the center.
3. Getting around Madrid: official fares
2026 fares published by the CRTM and Renfe (as of 30/10/2026) [26][27][28]:
Metro (zone A): single ticket €1.50 to €2.00, depending on the number of stations; 10-trip ticket (Metrobús), €7.30 [26].
Airport supplement: an extra €3.00 to enter or exit at the airport stations with a single, combined or 10-trip metro ticket [26][30].
City bus (EMT): single €1.50. Exprés Aeropuerto (line 203): €5.00, paid on board [26][31].
Interurban bus (such as 625, 628 and 629): single ticket bought on board, from €3 (2 zones), for example A–B1 [26]. The CRTM doesn't say in which zone each line ends; check the fare on board.
Cercanías (train): single €1.70 (1–2 zones), €1.85 (3 zones), €2.60 (4 zones), €3.40 (5 zones), €4.05 (6 zones) and €5.50 (7 zones) [28]. If you pay contactless with a card, tap in and tap out; without the exit tap, Renfe charges the maximum fare [28].
Abono Turístico (tourist pass): unlimited travel for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7 days [27].
Days Zone A (Madrid city) Zone T (whole region) 1 €10.30 €15.40 2 €17.50 €26.20 3 €23.10 €35.00 4 €27.80 €43.20 5 €33.40 €50.40 7 €43.20 €62.80 - Children under 11 pay half [27].
- Zone A: roughly the municipality of Madrid. Valid on the metro (without the airport supplement), EMT buses (except the Exprés Aeropuerto) and Cercanías within zone A [27].
- Zone T: the whole network: all of the metro (without the airport supplement), the interurban bus lines and all of Cercanías [27]. To go to Las Rozas, choose zone T.
From the airport to the city center:
- Metro line 8: Aeropuerto T4 – Nuevos Ministerios, every day from 6:05 to 2:00; about 13 minutes from T1-T2-T3 and 18 from T4 [30].
- Bus 203 Exprés Aeropuerto: to Atocha, 24 hours [31].
- Cercanías: according to Aena, only line C1 (Príncipe Pío–Atocha–Chamartín–Aeropuerto T4) stops at the airport; the station is at T4, on level -1 (as of 30/10/2026) [29].
4. Tax on purchases (Spain): IVA and tax free
- General IVA (Spanish VAT) of 21%, already included in the price tag [34]. On a €121 price tag, €21 is IVA. The amount refunded is lower, because refund companies charge a commission.
- Who can get a refund: people who live outside the European Union, such as Brazilian tourists, buying for personal use or as gifts, not for commercial purposes [33][34]. Very frequent travelers may have their claim refused [33].
- Minimum amount: the current text of the IVA law and regulation sets no minimum purchase amount [34][35]. Even so, Las Rozas Village warns that some stores may require a minimum [5]. Ask at the checkout.
- At the store: show your passport. The store issues the invoice and the DER (Documento Electrónico de Reembolso, electronic refund document) [33][35].
- When leaving the EU: you have up to 3 months after the purchase to leave the EU with the goods. If you leave from Spain, validate the DER at the DIVA kiosks at the airport or port before checking your bags [32][33]. Without this validation, there is no refund [33].
- How the money comes back: from the store itself, which has 15 days after receiving the validated DER (transfer, card or cheque), or from an authorized tax-free company, which pays the IVA minus its own commission [33][35]. We don't publish commission amounts.
5. News and updates
- November 1, 2026: the three The Style Outlets in Madrid announced that they open on the All Saints' Day holiday [12][16][21].
- 30/10/2026: Las Rozas Village's Shopping Express no longer appears on the official site's getting-here page; that page now offers a private chauffeur service [2].
- 20/10/2026: the Agencia Tributaria updated its information page on IVA refunds for travelers [33].
6. Taking it home (Brazil's Receita Federal allowance)
This section applies only to travelers who live in Brazil. If you live in another country, look up your own country's customs rules before you travel. Duty-free allowance: arriving in Brazil by air or sea, each traveler has an allowance of US$ 1,000 in goods, granted once every 30 days. The allowance is individual and non-transferable: you can't combine it with family members' allowances. Duty-free purchases made when leaving Brazil or abroad may count toward this allowance [36]. Duty-free on arrival: there is an additional allowance of US$ 1,000 for purchases at the duty-free shop of the first airport of arrival in Brazil [36]. Over the allowance? Anything above it pays 50% import duty. Declare it through e-DBV and go through the "Bens a Declarar" (goods to declare) channel. Anyone who goes through "Nada a Declarar" (nothing to declare) with goods that should have been declared is fined 50% of the amount over the allowance [37]. Quantity limits: for goods over US$ 10, the limit is up to 20 units, with no more than 03 identical items; for goods under US$ 10, up to 20 units, with no more than 10 identical items [36]. For information only; it does not replace the Receita Federal's Guia do Viajante. Look up the current rules before you travel.
7. Paying: IOF and exchange rates (cards issued in Brazil)
- This section applies only to travelers who live in Brazil and use cards issued in Brazil. If you live in another country, look up your own bank's fees and rules.
- IOF of 3.5% on purchases abroad with an international credit, debit or prepaid card. The rule is art. 15-B, item VII, of Decreto 6.306/2007, as worded by Decreto 12.499/2025 [38][39].
- Legal status: in the consolidated text, this item carries the notes "Vide Decreto Legislativo nº 176, de 2025" and "Vide ADC nº 96" [39]. The STF (Brazil's Supreme Court) reinstated Decreto 12.499 in a preliminary ruling on 16/07/2025 [40]. ⚠️ Unverified / check before you go: the rates may change by decree or by an STF decision. Look again before your trip.
- Statement exchange rate: the conversion into reais must use the rate of the purchase date. The bank may only use the rate of the payment date if you expressly agree to it [41]. For each purchase, the statement must show the amount in foreign currency, the amount in U.S. dollars, the conversion rate and the amount in reais [42].
8. Official rewards programs
- Las Rozas Village: the outlet lists a frequent flyer program among its visitor services [4].
- The Style Outlets: the centers' websites have a sign-up club, the Style Club [9][13][17].
- We don't publish coupons or member discounts. ⚠️ Unverified / check before you go: we haven't confirmed the conditions of these programs for people who live in Brazil.
